Using a blend of traditional methods combined with contemporary knowledge, this drawing class will cover the basics of visual language: line, form, composition, light and shadow, and explore conventional and unconventional ways of seeing. Various subject matter and approaches to drawing will be used, from working observationally from still life, landscape, and the figure to creating imagination drawings that experiment with mark making. Midweek, participants will tour the D’Amico House to view the collection. A critique will be held on the last day of class.
