The Art Barge was founded on Victor D’Amico’s vision to create a unique arts education in a place that was “more dramatic [than a regular classroom] and reflecting the character of the environment—sky, sea, and salt air…” 

The Sea, Sky & Salt Air Children’s Carnival does just that — It offers an immersive week-long creative education experience for children, inspired by the unparalleled landscape and natural world surrounding The Art Barge. Through a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor art-making experiences, classes will explore aviary and aquatic life, landscapes and seascapes, plants and elements through artistic motivations in drawing, painting, collage, and/or sculpture. Using Mabel and Victor D’Amico’s renowned educational approach, children will develop their own unique, creative process and expression, learning new ways to see and interact with the world around them.
