The Art Barge was founded on Victor D’Amico’s vision to create a unique arts education in a place that was “more dramatic [than a regular classroom] and reflecting the character of the environment—sky, sea, and salt air…” The Sea, Sky & Salt Air Children’s Carnival does just that — It offers an immersive week-long creative education experience for children, inspired by the unparalleled landscape and natural world surrounding The Art Barge.

This week of Children’s classes will guide 12-14 year olds through a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor art-making experiences focused around salt air and seaside life, and the production of handmade animations. Artistic motivations in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture, culminating in several short handmade animations, will help children to develop their own unique, creative process and expression.
