CLASSES RUN MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY FOR 3 WEEKS. JULY 10th to 28th.
This course introduces the fundamentals of hand building with clay to participants of any experience level. Participants will discover clay processes through pinching, coiling, and slab construction to develop skills for making both functional and non-functional pieces. Participants will be encouraged to create pieces that reflect their personal style. Possible projects include vessels, figures, and abstractions with organic or hard-edged shapes. Clay, tools, and glazes will be provided. Class time and open studio practice time will enable students to create art at their own level and improve skills. Firing of pieces will take place on the premises.
