This September the Barge returns to its origins at Ashawagh Hall. In 1955, to expand his successful classes at The Museum of Modern Art, Victor D’Amico rented Ashawagh Hall to conduct his Summer Vacation Painting Experiment. He and his students visited the homes and studios of various artists in the area and used the surrounding landscapes and farms in Springs for Painting on Location classes. At the end of the summer, an exhibition was held…sound familiar?!

Thanks to the Springs Improvement Society, The Art Barge is back at Ashawagh Hall with a show of Barge artist work.
