Through exercises and demonstrations, explore the dynamic, immediate and versatile expression of pastel. Participants will delve into the application of soft, hard, and oil pastels on assorted papers to create depth, perspective, and overall compositions. Subject material may include still life, landscape, botanicals, light, and movement. Participants can bring their own pastels and pastel paper, but basic materials will be provided. A critique will be held on the last day of class.
