Delve into traditional transparent watercolors with a series of set-ups, exercises, and demonstrations. A particular emphasis will be placed on observation, abstraction and color as points of inspiration. Experiment with techniques of washes, dry brush, wet-on-wet, and other water-based pigments, including gouache, on an array of watercolor media and papers. More experienced participants may bring the watercolor supplies they have. A critique will be held on the last day of class.
