• Participants should bring a collection of color and/or black and white laser printed copies, no larger than 8 ½ by 11 inches in size, to the first class.

Explore the process and possibilities of image transfer — lifting ink/toner from a color or black and white laser copier printout and then affixing the image to watercolor paper or canvas. The resulting more transparent image can be used as a point of interest on a surface that becomes integrated into an abstract or representational painting using water-based mediums. Experiment with including elements of drawing, text, and collage in the painting. Midweek, participants will tour the D’Amico House to view the collection. A critique will be held on the last day of class.

This class is designed for adults.
