August 18 @ 1:00 pm - August 22 @ 4:00 pm
$375.00
- Open to all levels
- All supplies provided
- Participants will tour the D’Amico House midweek
Based on the found art constructions of Joseph Cornell to Mabel D’Amico, this class will explore Box Art constructions, an assemblage of objects and visuals affixed into a shallow box. Tell stories, create dreamy landscapes, evoke a mood, give a sense of the passage of time, celebrate a person, place, or special occasion, or express nostalgia. Participants can bring materials that have personal value to them (personal treasures, photographs, natural objects, or ‘imaginings’), as well as boxes, but a wide variety of objects will be available for use. A critique will be held on the last day of class.
Instructor: Chris Kohan
