Explore visual language through drawing: line, form, composition, light and shadow, and conventional and unconventional ways of seeing. Various subject matter and approaches to drawing will be used, both traditional and contemporary. Work observationally from still life, the figure, and imagination to experiment with mark making. Students are encouraged to maintain a sketchbook drawing practice for the week. A critique will be held on the last day of class.
