Mabel D'Amico - An Invitation to Create
Press PLAY to view this video. Mabel DAmico impacted thousands of students during her life, encouraging them to explore new disciplines and look at everyday objects in new ways. She believed that “art should become for all young people, regardless of their ability, a form of expression which they will use naturally and unselfconsciously throughout their lives.” In this video Mabel shares her inspirations, motivations and a little of her process. As the video comes to a close, Mabel encourages viewers to embrace their own creativity, inviting them to gather materials from their surroundings and make their own found object art, just as she did.
