DESCRIPTION:Open to all levels\nAll supplies provided\nParticipants should bring a collection of color and/or black and white laser printed copies\, no larger than 8 ½ by 11 inches in size\, to the first class.\n\nExplore the process and possibilities of image transfer — lifting ink/toner from a color or black and white laser copier printout and then affixing the image to watercolor paper or canvas. The resulting more transparent image can be used as a point of interest on a surface that becomes integrated into an abstract or representational painting using water-based mediums. Studio time will include a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor drawing\, painting\, collage\, and/or sculpture activities. DESCRIPTION:Open to all level\nAll supplies provided\n\nExplore abstract painting as a device for emotional expression\, with an emphasis on spontaneity. Paint intuitively and leave judgments and demands of the intellect behind. \nEach session will introduce a new starting point or technique: letters\, words\, curves\, circles\, strokes\, swatches of color\, glue\, thick paint\, or fluid and alternative painting tools that can be used as a motivation to lead to line\, form\, texture\, and color. Work on paper or canvas with acrylic pigments as you reach into your imagination and allow yourself the freedom to play. Students can work on one painting a day or one for the week.
