Through dynamic demonstrations/motivations/exercises\, using a variety of paper sources\, gluing mediums\, and mounting surfaces\, participants will explore the potential of line\, shape\, color\, texture and composition in the collage medium. DESCRIPTION:Open to all levels\nAll supplies provided\n\nInspired by Mabel D’Amico’s handmade and altered wardrobe\, explore the application of fabrics to a flat surface or recycled clothing. Through demonstrations/motivations/exercises\, discover the various possibilities of fabric collage using a variety of fabric sources and sewing techniques\, such as basic stitching\, embroidery and quilting. Students are encouraged to bring in their own samples of fabrics or clothing. Mid-week\, participants will tour the D’Amico house to view Mabel’s clothing collection. SUMMARY:The Art of SEEing with Carmen Lund (p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Seeing with Carmen Lund™ is a drawing/painting workshop. Participants will work in watercolor or oil pastel.  The approach will support participants to get out of their heads and into their hearts so they will be able to confidently express their unique personal voices. Participants will be guided through a series of exercises enabling them to create artwork that will be fresh and free. Through this process\, participants will find themselves gaining a greater sense of awe\, joy\, and gratitude as they learn to see their surroundings with “new eyes.” Midweek\, participants will tour the D’Amico House to view the collection.
