DESCRIPTION:ADULT PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED. ONE CHILD PER ADULT – NO DROP-OFFS.\nOpen to all levels\, ages 6+\nAll supplies provided\nONE TICKET covers one adult with one child. Book one spot for TWO people at $60.\n\nDesigned for ages 6+ with an adult\, this two-hour workshop invites children and their parent\, grandparent\, relative\, or adult friend to create side by side. Inspired by Victor D’Amico’s 1954 book Art for the Family\, published by the Museum of Modern Art\, the class reflects his belief that “all people have creative ability and that anyone at any age can enjoy and develop their aptitudes in art.” \nThrough painting\, collage\, and simple construction techniques\, families engage in imaginative exercises that spark creativity\, foster collaboration\, and encourage participants to discover more about themselves and the world around them through art. \nPLEASE NOTE: This is a one day workshop. Please sign up for only ONE workshop per child. Repeat bookings cannot be honored.

DESCRIPTION:Open to all levels\, Age 16+\nAll supplies provided\n\nThis one-day workshop will focus on self-portraiture\, in its broadest sense\, as a means of reflection and transformation. Moving beyond traditional self-portraiture\, the goal of this workshop is to delve deeper — exploring the masks that society conditions us to wear\, revealing aspects of ourselves we’ve kept hidden. \nThe workshop will begin with a presentation highlighting artists who explored these themes\, providing context and inspiration. Participants then will be guided by prompts to explore the process of self-expression through art-making practices in charcoal\, watercolor\, pastel\, mirrors\, and other unique materials. Come with a curiosity to look beyond the surface. No drawing experience is necessary. \nInstructor: Amy Conway
