DESCRIPTION:Previous painting experience encouraged.\nBring your own paint\, brushes and canvases (24” size limitation)\nEasels and tables are available for use in the Studio and on the Barge decks. \nParticipants will tour the D’Amico House midweek. \n\nStudio Process provides individual instruction to artists in a group setting. Instruction aims at heightening the power of expression of each artist in relation to her/his inherent uniqueness. Demonstrations\, motivational set-ups and Friday group critiques are included.  \nArtists may work using any medium: acrylic\, oil\, watercolor\, tempera\, drawing and collage media.  \nInstructor: Perry Burns

DESCRIPTION:Open to all levels\nAll supplies provided\nParticipants will tour the D’Amico House midweek\n\nDelve into traditional transparent watercolors with a series of set-ups\, exercises\, and demonstrations as motivational inspiration\, with a particular emphasis on plein air watercolor in and around the Barge landscape and at the D’Amico House\, weather depending. Experiment with techniques of washes\, dry brush\, wet-on-wet\, and other water-based pigments such as gouache and acrylics on an array of watercolor media and papers. More experienced participants may bring the watercolor supplies they have. A critique will be held on the last day of class. \nInstructor: Lois Bender

DESCRIPTION:Open to all levels\, ages 12-14 yrs\nAll supplies provided\, but please bring a phone with photography capabilities\, if possible \n\nThe Art Barge was founded on Victor D’Amico’s vision to create a unique arts education in a place that was “more dramatic [than a regular classroom] and reflecting the character of the environment—sky\, sea\, and salt air…” The Sea\, Sky & Salt Air Children’s Carnival does just that — It offers an immersive week-long creative education experience for children\, inspired by the unparalleled landscape and natural world surrounding The Art Barge. \nThis week of Children’s classes will guide 12-14 year olds through a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor art-making experiences focused around salt air and seaside life\, and the production of handmade animations. Artistic motivations in drawing\, painting\, collage\, and sculpture\, culminating in several short handmade animations\, will help children to develop their own unique\, creative process and expression.  \nInstructor: Isabel Santos
