SUMMARY:STUDIO PROCESS with Michael Rosch (a.m.)
DESCRIPTION:STUDIO classes provide individual instruction to artists at all levels of experience in a group setting. Instruction will aim at heightening the power of expression of each artist in relation to her/his inherent uniqueness. Artists may work using any medium or any combination thereof: acrylic\, oil\, watercolor\, tempera\, drawing media\, collage media and assemblage media. Outdoor easels and tables are available for use on the Barge decks and adjacent beaches.  Instructor demonstrations\, motivational set-ups\, life models and Friday group critiques are included.  Artists are encouraged to supply their own paints\, brushes\, and painting surfaces/canvases.  A storage space is provided.  Extra tubes of paint or pre-stretched canvases can be purchased on the premises. \nInstructor: Michael Rosch

SUMMARY:COLLAGE with Patricia Feiwel (a.m.)
DESCRIPTION:The collage class provides an exploration of the 2-D application of papers and other materials affixed to a flat surface.  Through demonstrations/motivations/exercises and discussions\, participants will discover the various possibilities of collage using a variety of paper sources\, gluing mediums\, and mounting surfaces.  Students will be encouraged to explore the approaches and materials demonstrated each day\, develop their own interpretation of them and appreciate the variation of interpretations by their fellow classmates.  Basic materials will be provided. \nInstructor: Patricia Feiwel

DESCRIPTION:In this course you will enjoy individualized attention\, work at your own pace\, and explore different techniques. Students will gain practice designing\, cutting glass\, and soldering with the copper foil method. Safety tips are emphasized. Students will have an opportunity to peruse books and photos that explore both historical and contemporary stained glass.  You will take home your own small hanging piece and inspiration to explore the medium further. \nInstructor: Rosalind Brenner
